TAG: The Beauty Scenario Tag

It's been a little while since I've done a tag post, and I thought this tag that I found on Natalie's blog was a great idea! I'm not going to tag anyone, but feel free to tag yourself and link me to it if you do it!

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
I actually don't really wear foundation, so already I'm off to a bad start with this tag! I only own drugstore foundations which I sort of switch between, but right now I'm wearing Loreal's Infallible powder and it seems to be working for me, so I guess I'd just keep that!

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
I would ignore it entirely. Well, that's not technically true - I would no doubt be unable to resist the urge to just stare at it throughout the interview! But I'd still keep it a secret from her and then deny all knowledge if she later found out about it!

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?
I don't wear lipstick! Or any coloured lip products really. So to give an answer that somewhat fits with the question, my current go to lip product is the Body Shop's coconut lip butter!

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?
I was a goth so there are many many things I'd do differently, haha. So, for make up I had black lipstick and neon coloured eyeshadow. And actually, I don't totally regret that at all! I probably looked ridiculous but it was fun and I was happy with that, especially with the neon eyeshadows - I was pretty young when I started buying the higher end eyeshadow because they were the only brands that came in the bright colours that I wanted, so I got pretty good at doing rainbow effects quite early on. I had fun with that, so I don't regret it at all, but I'm sure the black lipstick was a bad look so I should probably have got rid of that!

For my hair...Well, I used to dye it reds and gingers a lot and that really suited me, but then one day I dyed it purple and I HATED it. I gave it about two hours and then went to a hairdresser. The only thing they could do for me was to dye it 'dark brown' which was actually jet black, and of course there was no getting rid of that! It was horrible, it didn't really suit me, and it took SO LONG to grow out and was of course very very obvious at each stage of growth. If I did it again I would try to keep the purple a bit longer because I would probably have gotten used to it, and if not I'd have gone for any colour but black to try and cover it up!

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.
I can tell you for a fact that I would awkwardly smile and say thank you and then burst into tears the second I walked through my door. I really hate having my hair cut anyway, I find the whole experience a bit awkward and I don't really like looking in the mirror so I spend the whole time trying to work out where to look. I've tried once before to explain to a hairdresser what I actually wanted, but he was a douche about it so I just quietly nodded and went home and cried - then went to another hairdresser the next day to save it! Naturally, that first hairdresser was the most expensive haircut I've ever had too.

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

I would go for Sleek's Au Naturel pallette, as that's lots of naturals that look good with anything!

7. Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?
My Body Shop Vitamin E moisturiser! Okay, it's not expensive and I could get another one easily - but my skin has issues with moisturisers and that's the only one that works for me!

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven't noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs.
If it was mild, I'd ignore it. If it was in awful condition, I'd feel no shame about asking them to repurchase it!
