The Body Shop; Aloe Soothing Day Cream

Sadly my normal super reliable Lush moisturiser has wanted to do nothing apart from chuck itself all over whatever bags and posessions I happen to leave too close to it and the weather isn't quite right for my other Body Shop moisturiser, so I decided to go shopping for a new one. I've always had a lot of luck with Body Shop products and since I'm taking a little break from the Lush ones, I headed over there to have a look at what I could find.

I ended up going with this Aloe Soothing Day Cream. It's supposed to be ultra gentle and calming, which is something I really wanted - My skin is actually doing really good right now and has been for a fair few months, however my skin is one of those that reacts very suddenly and with a vengeance so I didn't want to risk anything angering it!

My first thoughts of this product were good. You get a good amount in the pot, it has a nice scent to it, and a nice texture. It goes on really smoothly and easily, and at first I was a little worried that actually it was going to be quite greasy, but I don't think that's the case at all.
After a few weeks of using it, I've had no problems with this product. I find it applies really nicely and absorbs well, however leaves my skin with a bit of a greasy feel at first - this isn't the case at all, it seems to just be how this product applies at first. If you like wearing foundation you'll probably find this an advantage - I rarely do, but have found that when I do it goes on SO much easier when I'm using this product compared to others.
This moisturiser cost me just £12 for a 50ml tub, and you can pay even less if you want a smaller one. Product available online, here.
