This Month, I Have Mostly Been... August 2015 Edition!

Enjoying...
Well of course, I went to Majorca! I had a great time there even if it did pretty much just rain constantly. I don't normally do city breaks or beach holidays but it just seemed like the perfect time to do it.

Eating...
Due to the nature of my work, I now often eat out during my lunch break. So I've actually discovered all sorts of great new places to eat! None of them are the sort of place I'd recommend here as they're all very local and generally not the healthiest of things, but I have enjoyed discovering new places like my favourite new Chinese takeaway location, and where to get the best vegetable lasagne...

Watching...
I'm still speeding through series one of Once Upon a Time and I still love it, although I'm slowing down a little bit now. I've also started watching season four of Glee! Very out of date, I know. I know I've watched season one and two though years and years ago when they first came out, and I was sure I'd watched season three but I no longer think I have. I started watching this before a night shift as I'd usually be knackered and unable to concentrate on much so I thought Glee would be nice easy viewing, but ended up actually really enjoying it.

Doing...
I've been busy making new friends on my new work team, which means I haven't had too much time outside of the environment. And of course, there's that - started on a new work team, with a new shift pattern that destroys me a bit - but hopefully soon I'll be used to it and it won't feel so awful.

Been negative about...
As above, my new shift pattern. It's a rotating shift pattern, so I work six days in a row in three different time periods filling a 24 hour period. It's pretty painful! I'm not adjusting very quickly at all as despite getting black out curtains and an eye mask and trying to make a bedtime routine, my body is very aware it is day time and doesn't want to sleep during it. I've been waking up consistently between 8am and 10am regardless of whether I get home from work at 3am or 7am so I'm on probably eight hours sleep total over four days at the moment.

Thinking about...
How my friendships are going to change. At the moment they're being effected more than I thought they would, but hopefully my body will get used to the scheduling and my energy levels will be back to normal soon. I've also been thinking about booking an overnight spa stay next month, which is very much needed!
