A Mini Body Shop Beauty Haul

Body Shop cosmetics
The other week, I went into The Body Shop to buy myself one of the new superfood facemasks. And while I was there, for reasons I can't fully explain, I somehow ended up having a mini makeover so that the assistant could help me choose my foundation colour. And then, somehow, I quite liked the brush she was using so I somehow ended up with that too. And then, the biggest surprise of the whole experience, she used a blusher on me, a product that I never buy, and I somehow ended up buying that too. So. Um. Let's go through everything, shall we?

Beauty Review: Babyliss Curl Secret

Babyliss Curl Secret
I first became aware of the Babyliss Curl Secret about a year ago whilst watching YouTube and was very tempted by the idea, but decided that it was very expensive compared to, well, pretty much every other hair curler out there and therefore decided to buy your regular old curling wand instead. I gave the curling wand a go, and then failed. My housemate curled it for me which came out much better, but still took absolutely bloody AGES. Then, I had my hurl curled at the hairdressers and was surprised by how good it looked. The stylist showed me how to do it properly, I went home, and still failed to replicate it and managed to burn myself in the process. And at that point, I gave in, and decided to suck up the price and go and buy myself a Curl Secret.

La Mer Cleansing Micellar Water Review, & a House of Fraser Beauty Wishlist!

La Mer Cleansing Micellar Water

Beauty products have been something that are very much on my mind recently. There are a few amazing new palettes out, and as I'm going to America next week I've been super excited trying to look up what I can get from Sephora and other stores that are unavailabe or too expensive for me over here right now. On a closer to home note, House of Fraser currently have an event going on where they are offering £10 off when you spend £50 on beauty products. Therefore, I decided that now was the perfect time to take a look through and try out some of the higher end products I'd been thinking of buying, as well as make a mini wishlist of some of the other products available that I'd love to give a try!

Beauty Review: The Body Shop's Superfood Face Mask - in Amazonian Acai

Body Shop superfood face mask in Amazonian Acai
I've been monitoring these little superfood face masks since they were first announced. At first I was delighted to see them announced, as I do absolutely love The Body Shop products. They are by far my favourite brand to go to for skincare of all kinds - and increasingly, make up too, but we'll get to that next week...! - and I was so excited to give their face masks a try, especially when the available options just sounded SO good.

18 Fashion Favourites: September 2016

Good morning everyone! I was very happy to see you seemed to like the last monthly fashion wishlist and was very pleased to receive some messages telling me that you'd managed to find something new to buy from it. So of course, this means I am pleased to be continuing this series, and bringing you September's monthly wishlist! September was a bit of a difficult one for me as I found a lot of the colours were quite bland. I know that they tend to at around this time of year, but for me, I struggle to find pieces I really like as I prefer to wear colour all year round! However, I did find 18 favourite pieces for you this month so take a look through and let me know which your favourites are!

This month features Apricot, New Look, Asos, Forever21 and Quiz!
APRICOT: Teal, Green & Cream Check Print Shirt Dress £24
APRICOT: White & Navy Butterfly Print Zip Shoulder T-Shirt £19
APRICOT: Black, Pink & Purple Watercolour Butterfly Print Structured Dress £28

I imagine it comes at no surprise at all when I say that my favourite in this row is 100% the dress on the right. In fact, it is probably my favourite overall piece in this selection. I just LOVE it. I love the shape. I love the pattern. I love the colours. I think this dress is beautiful and though I cannot see any time in the forseeable future when I'm going to get a chance to wear it, I still really, really, really want it!
